Finding Inspiration Everywhere
I find inspiration in everything, from the beautiful landscape of Watership Down to everyday objects. I love to create unique and exclusive designs that reflect my personality and style.
My Sewing Journey
My sewing journey started when I was a child, watching my mother sew. Over the years, I've honed my skills and developed my own unique style.
Creating Unique Designs
I rarely use patterns, preferring to create my own designs that are one-of-a-kind. My range includes Handmade tote bags, cushions, book covers, messenger bags, cosmetic bags, and more.
Commitment to Sustainability
As an eco-conscious person, I strive to be sustainable and use repurposed, rescued, or offcuts of fabric whenever possible. It feels good to breathe new life into materials that would have otherwise gone to waste.
Learning from Online Resources
Although I have no formal training, I've learned a lot from online resources such as YouTube and Facebook groups.
Two of my favourite Facebook groups are Man Made UK and Memories in Thread, and I love watching tutorials from "Christine's Home Affairs" on YouTube.
Selling Handmade Items
I sell my handmade items online and at local craft shows. It brings me joy to see others appreciate my work and take home a unique and special piece that they can treasure.
Inspired by Kingsclere
My home in Kingsclere, a village shadowed by Watership Down, provides the perfect setting for my work.
The surrounding nature and beauty of the countryside often inspires me to create new designs.
