About Watership Down Crafts
Welcome! I’m Debbie, the creator behind Watership Down Crafts, a small UK-based business located in the beautiful village of Kingsclere, near the iconic hills of Watership Down.
I specialise in one-of-a-kind tote bags, accessories, and gifts made using rescued, repurposed, or leftover fabrics. Each item is carefully handmade in my home studio with a strong focus on quality, character, and thoughtful design.
Watership Down Crafts was born out of a passion for sewing and machine embroidery, and a belief that beautiful things can be made without harming the planet. I’m committed to reducing waste and using resources responsibly wherever possible.
Inspired by the surrounding Hampshire countryside, my designs often reflect the textures, colours, and moods of nature. My dog, Ted, is never far from my side, and our daily walks across the Down are often where the best ideas begin.
WDC officially launched in June 2023 and has been growing steadily ever since. I’ve poured my heart into building this business from the ground up, learning everything from SEO to product photography along the way. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve loved the challenge and the chance to create something meaningful.
If you’re looking for a unique gift or a beautifully made tote bag that tells a story, I hope you’ll find something special here. Every purchase supports an independent maker — and for that, I’m truly grateful.
Thank you for visiting,
Debbie
