How to download, save, open and print your Watership Down Crafts sewing tutorial

Your tutorial is a digital PDF file. Nothing will arrive through the post. You can save the file to your computer, tablet or phone and print it whenever you need it.

1. Find Your Download

  • After checkout, look for the download button on the order confirmation page.

  • You should also receive an email containing a link to your file. The email may arrive separately from your order confirmation.

  • Check your Spam, Junk or Promotions folder if you cannot see it in your inbox.

2. Download and Save the PDF

On a computer

  1. Select the download link or button.

  2. Your browser may open the PDF in a new tab or save it automatically to your Downloads folder.

  3. Choose Download or Save As and save the file somewhere easy to find, such as Documents or a folder called Sewing Tutorials.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap the download link.

  2. When the PDF opens, tap the Share icon.

  3. Choose Save to Files or Books, then select the folder where you want to keep it.

On an Android phone or tablet

  1. Tap the download link.

  2. The file will usually save to the Downloads folder or open in your PDF app.

  3. Use the menu in the PDF app to save or move the file to a folder you can find again.

3. Open the Tutorial

Most devices already have a PDF reader. You can also use a free PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If the file will not open, check that the complete file has downloaded before trying again.

4. Printing Your Tutorial

You do not need to print the whole tutorial. You can read the instructions on screen and print only the template pages, if templates are included.

Important: Always follow the printing instructions inside the tutorial. Template pages will normally need to be printed at 100% or Actual Size.

Do not select Fit, Shrink or Scale to Fit unless the tutorial specifically tells you to.

Before cutting your fabric

  • Print the page containing the test square first.

  • Measure the test square with a ruler.

  • Only print and use the templates when the square measures exactly as stated.

  • Make sure your printer is using the correct paper size, usually A4 in the UK or US Letter in the United States.

5. Common Download Problems

I have not received the email

Check your Spam, Junk and Promotions folders.

Confirm that the email address used at checkout was entered correctly. The download email may take a few minutes to arrive.

The link will not open

Try copying the link into a different web browser.

You can also try opening it on a computer rather than inside an email or social media app.

I cannot find the downloaded file

Look in your device’s Downloads folder.

On a Windows computer, open File Explorer and select Downloads.

On an Apple device, open the Files app.

The PDF is blank or incomplete

Delete the incomplete copy and download it again using a reliable internet connection.

The template printed at the wrong size

Reprint it using 100% or Actual Size and turn off Fit to Page.

Measure the test square before using the template.

I clicked the link too many times

Some download systems limit the number of attempts.

Contact Watership Down Crafts with your name and order number so that your purchase can be checked.

Keep Your PDF Somewhere Safe

Once it is saved, you can return to your tutorial whenever you are ready to sew.

You may print a copy for your own personal use, but please do not share, copy, upload or resell the PDF or its templates.
